Roswell UFO Radio is the brainchild of Texas author and publisher Noe Torres, resulting from his lifelong interest in science fiction, the paranormal, unidentified flying objects, and radio drama. In the early 1990s, with the advent of the world wide web, Noe began collecting recordings of many early radio dramas, including Dimension X and X Minus One. He became a passionate fan of science fiction dramas from the golden age of radio, principally the 1940s and 1950s.
Over a period of twenty years, he compiled a detailed playlist of every adult science-fiction radio drama ever aired for which a recording still exists. Originally put together for his own enjoyment, Noe decided to share his unique, hand-picked collection of sci-fi drama with the world when his Shoutcast stream first went on the air in 2007.
A recognized expert in the field of UFOs and the paranormal, Noe Torres is an author, publisher, and member of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON). He holds a Bachelor’s in English and a Master’s in Library Science from the University of Texas at Austin. He has written one of the most popular books about the 1947 Roswell UFO Incident, titled Ultimate Guide to the Roswell UFO Crash, which has been the top selling book among tourists visiting Roswell. Noe also wrote a critically acclaimed book series called The Real Cowboys & Aliens, consisting of three books: Early American UFOs, Old West UFOs, and The Coming of the Airships (co-written with Roswell historian John LeMay). Noe has also collaborated with veteran Northern California researcher Ruben Uriarte on several well-reviewed books, including Mexico’s Roswell, The Other Roswell, Aliens in the Forest, Fallen Angel, and The Coyame Incident.
Noe has appeared on a number of nationally-broadcast television shows, including season 2, episode 1 of the Travel Channel’s Mysteries of the Outdoors, titled “Strange Attraction,” which premiered in August 2017. Also in 2017, Noe was featured in an episode titled “The Marfa Lights” for the TV series Mysteries of the Unexplained. In 2008, he appeared in season 1, episode 4 of the History Channel’s UFO Hunters, in a show called “Crash and Retrieval.”
Noe has appeared several times on George Noory’s famous radio show Coast to Coast AM, as well as on The Jeff Rense Program and may other shows. He is also in high demand as a speaker at UFO and paranormal conferences and festivals, having been a featured speaker at the 2017 International UFO Congress in Scottsdale, Arizona. He has also spoken five times at the annual Roswell UFO Conference and at many other UFO conferences throughout the United States and Mexico.
