Brief description: There were two lights orbiting one another over a tower.

Full details: I was sitting on the Marfa Lights platform and watching the lights closely. I then noticed the lights when someone told me. When I first noticed it, I thought it was a car. Then I remember there were no mountains seen above the tower. Then I knew it was a Marfa light or a UFO. There were two lights orbiting one another over the tower and stayed there for an hour before disappearing. After all that I was amazed. It disappeared [into] thin air. It lasted for an hour.

Brief description: Cigar-shape UFO in Marfa, TX

Full details: Both my wife and I saw the UFO as we were driving to see my wife’s family in Chihuahua, Mexico. As we approached Marfa, we saw it hovering for over 15 minutes in broad daylight. We stopped in Marfa and took 2 [photos]. In one you can see the UFO (once you zoom in); in the other, you can’t tell anything. Once in Marfa we turned toward Presidio and we couldn’t see it anymore because it was now behind us.

Brief description: Triangle-shaped object with round lights hovered approx. 20 feet over car

Full details: I’ve never really discussed this story, but have always wondered what it was that happened to us that night.

A car full of girls was driving home to Marfa from Alpine. It is a desolate area there with nothing between the two small towns. In between Alpine and Marfa on the highway as we were happily driving along, a huge triangular-shaped object with white circular lights along the underneath side along the perimeter of the triangle shape hovered so incredibly close to the top of our car.

It was approximately as large as a football field in general size and was absolutely without sound. That’s what I can’t make sense of, for the massive object to be so close over our car, hovering there, with no sound. This went on for several seconds and then shot off in a northwesterly direction in the blink of an eye, again, with no sound. It flew away so incredibly fast I don’t have words to describe it. This was a triangular-shaped object hovering closely above our car with white lights around its underbelly perimeter and flew off to the northwest….

I don’t know why, but we never discussed this amongst ourselves. I moved away from Marfa after that and have not been in touch with any of those girls since then. I do wonder, though, as an adult what their impressions and thoughts are of the event.

We weren’t terrified and there was no screaming or crying. We were just silent as it was happening. We weren’t even supposed to be out that night, much less driving over to the next town, so we just never discussed it with anyone that I know of….

Brief description: Object started flying towards us in the sky at a distance … At first, it was only two lights [flying in] parallel … then [a] third light created a triangle and all three lights were erratically flashing

Full details: it was July 22 of 2005 when I saw my first UFO; we left from Laredo, TX, at 9:00 pm we were on our way to visit relatives in California, it was my dad, brother, stepmom, and two stepsisters. I stayed up the whole way because we [planned] to stop in Marfa TX to see the mysterious lights.

It was 4 AM, and we were at the viewing point right before you get into Marfa, TX. We all got off our Suburban, and there were very few [Marfa] Lights out. I had been past there about 4 years before. It got boring – so I suggested that we just hit the road. I was sitting in the middle row of the suburban looking out the left door window when we pulled out. I stayed looking out towards the mountains looking at the (mysterious lights).

And as I was gazing [across] the whole range, out of nowhere I noticed two lights blinking [as] just one pulse [both lights at the same time] … the lights were low; it looked like it was floating very slowly. And I then said out loud, “Look, check that out. Is that a plane?” But I had a feeling it wasn’t because I’ve never seen an airplane move that slowly.

Then My dad and I were both looking out driving when I noticed it had raised way higher in the sky, and that’s when the third light came on, and all three lights started flashing (like strobing). These lights were in the shape of a triangle. When it started to flash erratically, I told my dad to stop so [I] could record it on [the] video camera…. As I was recording, one car did pass by looking out too, driving by really slow. These triangular lights stayed flashing for about 20 minutes. I recorded my first time about 10 to 12 minutes, and then my Father said “let’s just go” – so we left. I was still trying to record while we were driving ….

We stopped again and I started recording again and I noticed that it had rotated while we were driving. The first recording I remembered seeing 2 lights at the bottom and one at the top; the second time … I noticed it was the other way around. During this whole experience I was thinking of how nobody was going to believe me… We got back in the suburban and hit the road again and [after we drove] about half or three-quarters of a mile, it descended back to the way I had seen it the first time very low, and the 3rd light was [gone]. The object drifted or floated the opposite way for a long way; we drove a couple of miles, and when I looked back I could still see the two lights — smaller of course….
