Following their presentation at the annual Roswell UFO Festival on Saturday, June 30, 2012, Ismael Cuellar and his group, the Laredo Paranormal Research Society (LPRS), headed to Presidio County for more research on the Marfa Lights phenomenon. The group had previously conducted research on the lights using laser beams. During their visit on June 30, they were again conducting laser experiments when they noticed off to the north of the viewing area, a single glowing orb hovering in a stationary position beside a telephone pole.

The LPRS team members then saw the object move from a position left of the telephone pole to the right side of the pole.
Shortly after moving to the right side of the pole, the object “winked” out (disappeared).
